Charter of Expectations
The introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) means that people with a disability will be eligible for a funding package to purchase services from agencies of their choice. It also means that we will operate as a business. To formalise business arrangements, we will need to;
- negotiate a contract with people who wish to purchase our services so that there is clarity about what services are provided and the what the costs are, and
- to share information about mutual expectations.
A Charter of Expectations has been developed to explore the expectations that clients and families may have of Lighthouse Disability, and our expectations of clients and families. It is expected that clients and families will want to be clear about our mutual expectations before exploring the possibility of a purchase of our services. The Charter of Expectations is therefore intended to be a helpful ‘conversation starter’.
